Motorcraft coil is and always will be the best for the SOHC engine.

It's not the SOHC engine...it's the OHV

I figured I would follow-up here...

I picked up a Motorcraft DGE-446 OEM ignition coil pack, got it delivered today and installed it an hour ago... I will say it runs just as well (if not a little smoother) than with Accel 140035 coil pack.

I have put the Accel back in the box and it is on the shelf as a "known good" spare for now.

I even picked up a replacement coil pack for my 2001 Mustang. I will see about putting that in sometime this week, but that isn't coming out of storage until we are into spring a while. It has Indy 500 tires that suck at temps below 45 degrees, and especially with cold pavement they would be dangerous.

Just sayin' - don't forget to reset your pcm/ecu (again) to fully take advantage of the new coil parameters!
