something wrong with engine immbolization system

Hi guys, my truck is 2002 limited V8 , i tried to start it , but it didnt , checked every thing but i failed,
i brought an electrician then he said there is something wrong engine immbolization system you need to send it to the dealer,

Now , what is that system and how could i identify the problem without involving the dealer?????

Does the truck turn over?
Or nothing at all?
Did you check the fuel pump reset?
Is it getting spark? Fuel?

If the engine fails to crank over, try using another key. On my 02 Mounty the pats key lost its programming. Key will turn, but will not engage the starter. I used another key and the truck started. I have 4 keys for my Mountaineer, using 2 good keys I reprogramed the one key that stopped working. Now all the keys work.

I have an 02 Limited 4.6L myself and if your vehicle would just keep turning over and not start, it's a sensor/control module that controls air flow with the engine or somethign on the lines of that i'm sorry i dont remeber the name, but i had an issue where the engine would just turn over and not start even though there was no check engine lights but as i recall it was a sensor that would open or close air flow according to heat...all in all i cant help with the name but it was maybe $600 or so not cheap

today, i tried to turn it on ,i observed a sound from a device looks like electrical engagement before i switch to ignition, engine cranked then started for around two minutes then went off ,
then i tried to start again but nothing happened, i reset the fuel pump, used another spare key but nothing.
but i think i will do as ( TreoEng ) did . and i'll program a new key and see,
by the way the light indicator on the dash is off, but the THEFT light is blinking normally, and when i switch the key to ignition it lights off and truck doesnt start.

Try unlocking the doors with the remote. When I unlock my doors with the key or lock the doors before I try to start my Ex it will not turn over. My 99 did the same thing...

it was the PCM !!!

that is what the local dealer said. PCM was blocking to be read , so i'm forced to replace it and i will see, it really costs around 950$ but no other solution ,

i will update when something new comes up..
