I have a friend who I talked into getting a Ford mainly because of how nifty the Sync/MFT stuff was and she is having a problem with her iPod that I cannot explain. When playing music from her iPod under "Entertainment" to the right of the speedometer it shows the correct track info but on the main screen it shows "Unknown File / Unknown Folder." We have tried my iPod Nano that works fine in my Sync and even her son's iPod touch and they both do the same thing.

It has been behaving this way ever since she got the vehicle. She was dealer installed with 3.0.2 and self-installed 3.2.2 a couple of nights ago. Several system resets and it still acts the same way.

I'm out of ideas so I thought I'd see if anyone else is having this weird behavior or had any suggestions for us to try!

Unless you haven't tried these already, the only suggestions I have is unhook the iPod and then hook it back up via USB and see if it still does it. Another option to try is unhook the iPod and restart it. After it's started back up, then hook it back into the USB port.

Which iPod is your friend using?

It's a 6th Generation iPod Nano (the square one with the touch screen.) I'm pretty sure it's not the iPod though since we tried the one that I use every day in my Exp which works great and it did the same thing in hers.

Check this thread-
iPod Track/Album not showing Explorer MFT

It has never worked and we do not have any answers-:(
Rebecca has been looking into it but has not been able to advise us what to do-
