I posted before I read pages 2 & 3. My exhaust sounds closer to 98fordx24's than deagle's. I wonder if it is the size of pipe making that much difference. I can't remember what size my shop put on whatever I told them at the time.
Tough to say about the changes in performance and milage. For most people, its natural to give it more gas when you've got a nice sounding exhaust, so naturally, the milage will drop and it will fell like an increase in performance. I would have to say that this in combination with my KKM and superchip made noticable improvements.
Took the shop about 3 hours to do it and it cost a little over $400 for everything.
I'm gonna try to get one of my friends to tape me driving this weekend. I know hes gonna think I'm strange, but it sounds a little different than just reving it.
EDIT: Now that I think about it... I dont think anyone is gonna want to tape me unless the temperature around here picks up into the positive numbers.
heh, wish i could get a sound clip for you guys...this week i took the cat off of my dads corvette so right now its running straight out of the first y pipe. wow, that is the meanest sounding thing ive ever heard!! a 350 4v with no sound dampening at all, its insane!!!
So that's a 50 series Flowmaster? I was thinking of getting one and it sounds good and all, but I don't know. I don't know if an Explorer Limited would look/sound right with that. I like the way it sounds but it's just that a Limited is more of a "cushy" type of Explorer. Hmm, gonna have to think on this one.
