i guess you'd have to hear it first hand, cause when i run it there is no "rice" sound to it. I've had people come up and ask if i have a v8 under the hood. the recording is probably screwed up. i dunno how to record it better short of a professional mic and recording equipment. and my understanding of resonation is the noise i hear inside the cab. am i way off?
well i found the definition, i was just that bored.

Alec, pointed something out to me last night as well. The exhaust only has that "ricey" (i still don't hear it) tone only revving at idle. When it's under a load it doesn't have that same sound.
well what you heard was a 40 series with a single dual out muffler, if you like what you heard that is. let me know what you decide i'd be interested to know.
and yes perry i'm aware it's not a v8. and so are most of the people on here. but it sure as hell sounds better than stock, and i'm happy with it. just thought i'd put up the sound clip though so others could hear too.
Thats exactly how I would expect a 6 to sound. To me it doesnt have the deep rumble of a V-8, but then again, it shouldnt because it is a 6 and not an 8. You cant really expect your engine to sound like something it's not. Sounds good to me!
Well thanks to this post 3 people haven decided to get a flowmaster setup; that i know of. I'll have some pics up next week once i get the new rims and lower it.
two days after i heard your clip dave i went and got myself some dual exhaust with the same setup as yours I LOVE IT ! it sounds great sounds kinda like a v8 at idle and low rpms, ive had lots of people come up and ask if i had put v8 in it! thanks dave!
np man, glad you're happy with yours! I love mine and just thought i'd throw mine out there. BTW - how do you like your 4.10s? i have the 3.27 and have been wanting to upgrade but due to the fact i'm a 2wd and am gonna be running 55 profile tires i don't know whether to get a 3.73 or a 4.10. any thoughts?
i put 4:10 s in before i got my lift and tires before i was runnin the stock 3:73 i noticed a fairly big difference in take off speeds and torque . im real happy with them it makes it real easy for the motor to turn my swampers. the only small downfall is that youll turn higher rpms at higher speeds ie: at 7omph i turn 3000rpms but its no big deal unless you do alot of highway driving. its only a small investment and they do make quite a bit of difference.
(deagledave's) It could have been the link not being that great but it sounded like it was resonated. I have a 40 and dual out but mine sounds deeper, more throatier than that. It just sounded to high for me, but like I said it could have ben the link.
