Sound question

I have an Explorer Sport and I am going to get some subs, but the question is, is 2 12" subs too much for the size of my car?? Also, if I got 2 JL 12w6 subs, what kinda amp would I need to power those??

im running 2 JL Audio 12-w4's and they work quite well. they are in a sealed, split chamber box and roll very well, but they dont hit as hard as a band-pass would, this is due to the open trunk. when i need the trunk, i take out the 12's and plug in the 10" solo baric stealth box. this way i got some bump to rattle my cargo

i have 2 jl w6 in a q-logic sealed box powered by a rockford bd1000a1. let me say it sounds great. i think you would be fine with what you want to get, or do.
