I met a friend of mine this past weekend for an overnight trip of exploring Southern NM around the Monticello Canyon and Cibola NF area. Here are a few pictures and a GoPro video I edited down to 16 minutes from the hour of footage I got.

Monticello Canyon is a fun trail with over 70 water crossings. We also explored some old mines, a fire lookout tower and a waterfall. The trip was 163 miles of dirt from airdown to airing back up.

...Good stuff Brian...:biggthump

....Did you shoot that whole film with the GoPro or was another camera used?

Looks like a nice, smooth and scenic trail.
What are all those clicking noises in your video? Sounds like a bad hub.

Clicking is the front sway bar and possibly the d-ring shackles banging around in their mounts. Most of it is due to the GoPro though and the vibrations and body flexing around making the most noise. At one point I hit the radio antenna and that made a loud click like noise too.

Isn't it amusing how much rattling, clicking, and banging these Explorers make after you off road them for a few years?
I really like the scenery of that area. Being so close to the border, I am suprised you did not run into a heard of illegals.
Also looks like a good trail for horses.
