Hey everyone, quick question. I've searched the site but havn't found a real answer so here goes:
I am putting in a 2" lift, Spacers and AAL, and was wondering if i need the shock extenders because, My coils are brand new no sag and i bought leafs out of the junk yard that came off a 97 with only 30,000 kms on the truck. So the springs are in good shape, practically sits like it did new, so im worried that because there is no sag that when i put the lift in it will destroy my shocks without extenders. Apparently they say this kit can go in without them but i want to hear it from people that are using these kits, so if you can give me some suggestions i would appreciate the help yet again. Thanks alot

anyone?

I think that stock shocks can handle it.
But, I'm not 100% sure about what you mean by shock extenders--

They screw on to the shocks to compensate for the 2" lift in the front and you can buy some extenders for the back as well. This way my shocks still sit as they were before the 2" lift. i guess i will have to wait until i receive the lift to be sure. I hear talk about the spacers and what not all the time but never really heard of anyone using the extenders so maybe i will be alright.

If you put on the "extenders" the shocks will have more droop travel......make sure you don't rip apart your brake hoses when the wheel drops into ruts or when you go airborne.

well, the thing is, do i really need the extenders then? Its only 2 ".

Probably not. But the shocks will "top-out" more often as they'll be near the end of their travel. It'll be okay to leave the shocks as they are w/o any extenders on.

you do not need extenders

ok, thanks guys.
