Spacers on a 01 XSport

I have a 01 Explorer Sport. I was planning on putting some spacers on for some extra handling etc. I noticed that in the front there's about an inch from the wheel to the edge of the fender. And on the rear there is abut 2.5 inches from the side of the tire to the edge of the fender. I guess my question is how come?And would it be ok to put a 1 inch spacer in front and a 1-3/4" spacer in the rear?

Heh ok. Have you taken a look at the front suspension of your truck? Where would you put the spacers?

Okay, well I guess u know that answer to that already. Will rear spacers fit?

Well spacers-no.

Blocks will- but that's not what you want to do.

This will not give you better handling. If anything, It will make it worse.

If you want better handling, invest in a heavy duty rear anti-sway bar and poly bushings for your front bar. Also get new shocks.

Why does everyone want better handling.........
