Spark + Fuel + air = NO START??

today I Determined it HAS to be fuel.
It will run for a couple seconds when gas is poured right into cylinder (through plug opening). And spark tester confirms good spark.

Also today i replaced the Crank sensor, no help
i tested the TPS it had (1) 12v B+ (2) Ground (3) Signal with throttle closed= 0v ! so i rigged a resistor to get 1.5v back to the signal line with the sensor unplugged ( 1.5 is spec. for tps in manual at full closed). Still no help

Yes ive checked all fuses (about three times just today)
and left all sensors unplugged and tried to reset computer.

so back to testing

to day also.....The Noid light connected to the injector harness lights and flashes during crank. the fuel rail gets pressurized to 40psi through crank. so i cant imagine all 6 injectors going bad! but i cant think of anythin else?

i would try replacing the tps it is cheap also since you have fuel pressure and the injector light comes on the only thing it could be is the tps, pcm or completly clogged injectors.i am leaning twards the bad ecu

My 98 Explorer Sport is doing the same thing. My wife was driving the car when it started to missfire. Driving back home the explorer died and went into a no start condition. I had it towed to the house and started checking for fuel and spark. I have spark to all 6 cylinders and I seem to be getting fuel. I do not have a fuel pressure guage, but it shoots out pretty good from the schraider valve on the fuel rail when cranking the engine. I am getting the following codes: p0171,p0174,p0300,p0340. I took it to a local mechanic because I didn't want to replace numerous parts and I really dont have the time to work on it. The mechanic believes that my timing chain tensioner is causing the problem. Logic behind it is that it is causing the engine to get out of time causing it to crank without starting. I will find out tommorow if he was correct or not. I am curious to find out what fixed your problem. I would also welcome any advice on what can be causing my cars no start condition. I think I have read every ford explorer forum on the web and realized that once the car starts, I have a lot of work to do like replacing the o-rings and replacing the IAC.
