I was prepping to do my spark plugs and got the impression from posts here that they were a royal pain in the butt.....
Well, maybe its the stuff I gleaned from the board, but they were easy!!!!!
I did all but the rear passenger side plug from the top with two long extentions and a universal joint and deep well socket......the 6th plug I pulled the front wheel and used the access hole and used the same tools......
Easy as pie! Didn't even wear gloves! I did do some contorting, though, to get my arms/hands where they needed to go.........
Here's the wierd part.......two plugs (the two easiest drivers side ones) were AC Delco Rapid Fires....the other 4 were plain old AC Delco plugs.......I had been considering getting the Rapid Fires, but having pulled those particular plugs before to see what was in there, I figured that I might try something else (I ended up with Champion Platinums)...........
I cant figure why someone would change just two plugs.......I gueess they thought the others were too hard??
The plugs really didnt seem to make a big difference so far....the ones that were in there (all 6) looked pretty good, but I figured I would change em anyways......
And I was thinking about changin the wires but they are Autolite "Pro Fit" 8.5 mm and look pretty beefy......they seem to be in good shape and definately are not stockers.....unless Ford used these premium wires as OEM, but I doubt that..........
Anyone have feedback on Pro fits or Rapid fire plugs?
