After installing new plugs and wires, my 96 ex 4.0l fails to fire.
I can smell the fuel after engine turns over for a few seconds.
I pulled a wire and tested with an old spark plug, and there was a spark.
Replace wires with valuecraft and plugs with champions.
Checked and gaped all plugs to .054.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Today I took the wires and plugs back to the store. The guy who helped me said the plugs and wires were both garbage.
I bought Motorcraft iridium plugs and duralast wires. Installed them when I got home, but still no start. I soon realized that the fuel pump no longer made a buzzing sound when I turned the ignition on. I just remembered, when I tried yesterday when I turned the ignition to on, a very high pitched wine came from what I think the fuel pump. I thought it was because the truck was lifted in the front and I only have 1/4 tank. Is there anyway to reset the pump, I know of the button under the passenger dash, but isn't that only if i'm in an accident?
