I was looking at Autozone's website at plugs for my 5.0 Mountaineer. I was looking at OEM Motorcraft plugs part #4W2. It states that these plugs are "OEM double platinum replacement"
I didn't think the OEM plugs were platinum.

I dont know.. but I thought on the later models they came with platnum plugs... or maybe all they are saying is that they will fit and perform to factory spec.

One bank of OEM plugs are probably single platinum while the other bank is probably double platinum. Replace them all with double plats.

I wasn't expecting to pay $3.99 a plug! Man this computer crap realy torqeus me off:fire: :shoot:

I'd just get whatever they say is for your vehicle, it's 3 bucks more per plug per 60k miles, heck, with gas prices about to go up, that should be the least of your worries.
