Spark Plugs and Transmission Fluid

I have read the owner's manual for my 2002 with V8/5spd auto, and it indicates changing the plugs at 100k miles and the xmission practically never. This seems nuts! I bought it at 48K, and it now has 72k. Shouldn't I change both? I mean, come on, how can plugs really last 100k? And like it or not, the clutch disks are wearing and the fluid is getting dirtier and more viscous by the mile. What do yall think?

Welcome to this forum! I would recommend replacing the transmission fluid, spark plugs, fuel filter, engine oil, air filter, and cleaning the mass air flow sensor.

Spark plugs can easily last 100k miles. Pull a couple of yours and check their condition.
