when i start the engine there is a high pitched hum comming out of the speakers, and the pitch gets higher as i step on the gas. I have rca's going to the stock woofer and a 8in bazooka bass tube. the rca's and speaker wires are on the passenger side, and power wire for the tube is on the right. what is causing this noise, and how do i get rid of it?

Is it an aftermarket head unit? Did you use a ground Loop?

Dead Link Removed

go to this link and follow the steps.

ya its aftermarket pioneer deh-3800MP, didnt use anykind of ground loop.

run a new ground for the hu and the bazooka tube

i just checked if it caused by the tube or the stock woofer. its not the bass tube because when i unplugged the RCA's for the stock woofer and the noise is gone. now what can i do?

Read that link I sent you and do the process of elimination.

i figured it out. it was a ground loop. the positive, negative, and remote wires i spliced into that went to the amp was still connected to the remote unit, which was also grounded, so all i had to do was unplug it off the remote unit, and no more noise, thanks for the link it did help establishing what caused the noise.
