Speaker question

Ok i drive an 02 Ranger. I'm starting to bulid my system. I was looking at my 6x9's in the back of the cab. and where the wire connects to the speaker" the positive and negitive conects" There is an adapter that conects the wire to the speaker. If i want to put different Speakers there do i just snip off the adapter and put the wires on with conecters and bolt is back up or will the speaker not work with out the adapter?

You can cut the connector off and it will work just fine. But if you want a cleaner install go to www.crutchfield.com or a similar place and order the speaker harness adapter. This will allow you to keep the facroty speaker harness.

Yeah, or Best Buy or Circuit City carry the adapters as well. It just makes for a cleaner install.

Personally I prefer good ol' soldered on spade connectors to any harness adapter. But that's just me.
