yes, 5x7/6x8 is the correct factory speaker hole size. You can also fab a template for a flange to accomodate a 6.5" round speaker, which will typically give more volume and bass response than an elliptical speaker.
take screws out by the handle and the screws at the bottom, and the only thing else holding the panel in place should be the plastic screws that you just pull the door panel and they should pop out
