Specs on the stock Subwoofer...

I have a 1999 Eddie Bauer Explorer,
I want to upgrade the stock music system
and add some more BASS.
What are the Specs on the stock SUB ?

I have the same vehicle as you and was wondering the same thing, only to replace the speaker that had been ganked from the one I bought. I found this in another thread and it may give you a starting point.

I just replaced the sub and the two rear door speakers. Will be replacing two fronts with the same speakers next month. All these speakers are exact replacements Bought at Crutchfield.

Door speakers... Great Sound with Stock Head Unit
1086832CF Infinity Reference 6832cf 6"x8" 2-way Speakers

Sub... Also great with stock AMP (could use a little more power but still better than stock)

Also I found a piece of white batting type material in my cargo area, it fits in the sub box like it was made to. Is that where it is supposed to go or am I just smoking crack? If not, is it supposed to go anywhere or is it just another random piece the seller left in the car like the paint roller handle & $5 in $1's he left in the door?
