Speedometer backlight and fog lamps dead???

After a 3,500 mile family vacation, I have a couple problems...

My Speedometer is only lit for the last half of it, from 60-100 mph, and the rest of it is dark..

Also, my fog lamps are inoperable..

I pulled every fuse in the box, that was even remotely related to both items, and they all look fine..

For the experts here:

I'm going to assume the speedometer cluster is a dead bulb..

Do I need to remove the entire cluster to get to it, or are there any shortcuts?

Is it so difficult, that I should put it off until I have more problems with the cluster, or is it not that difficult?

Where should I look next for the fog lamp problem? Is there a switch or relay I should track down?

Thanks,

Pulling the cluster is not that much work. There is a very detailed step by step on this site for removing the cluster. I would recommend replacing all of the bulbs when you have it out. I had mine out last year for new gauges and whish i would have replace some of the bulbs then.

As far as fogs I am having the same problem, just got my truck back from the shop and they are now not working. Wanted to subscribe to see if anybody else had idea of what to do for the fogs.
