My wife, being so wonderful, bought me the spindle nut conversion kit I need to convert my auto hubs to the Warn Manual Hubs I have.

She bought the kit at a local 4x4 shop... and I'm not sure they are the right ones. First, I was suspicious that they had them in stock, but mostly I am concerned that on the receipt it says "Dana 44 spindle nut kit".

Obviously, being that I have a Dana 35 up front, I'm sceptical they are the correct kit.

They appear to be genuine Ford parts, and the part number is D2TZ-1198-A "Wheel Bearing Kit".

Anyone know this one? Should I take these back and order the Warn Conversion Kit?

Thanks!

Ed

Can you eyeball the diameter of the parts, and compare that to the diameter of your hubs? Seems like the D44 would be larger.
Or try emailing Ford Parts Network and asking Torrie if he can confirm that part #.

I'm at work now so I can't do the eyeball check until I get home, but I could try the e-mail idea.

I'm also just wondering if the Warn part would be stronger/better anyway or if I'm asking for trouble getting the stock one?

Warn made all the manual hubs that came stock on Ex's. :)
