spl comp. coming up

I have an spl competition coming up this sunday. Its my first time. Im running an audiobahn awt12x off of a soundstorm 2000 watt 2 channel amp. This is mounted in a 6 cu ft box. My question to you is would it make my sub louder leaving it where it is now, or folding down the seats and putting it on the folded down seats. Oh by the way, the sub is facing the back of the truck.

Maresca it probley wont make a whole lot of difference if you move it! it is still going to bounce off the rear hatch and fire to the front. Having them face the rear will be best since it has to deflect off something before it comes back to you. You might search for the proper distance to hear certain tones, that should help you figure out where to put them! Good luck

You'd probably be better off with it close to the hatch I would assume.

what mic, where is it located..... if it's a usaci style event, mic on the floor, fold back seats, move front seats up the whole way, and open the glove box...

If its on the dash, try folding seats down in back, should help, folding/moving front seats may help too, unless it's an older setup which requires mic stand to be placed on the seat.

If you get several runs, try moving the sub box closer/farther from the hatch to find the sweet spot.

yeah its a db drag event, im not sure what we are gonna use. I didnt even sign up or know if i have to yet. I made a huge box out of mdf, and ill post pics later.

edit: just found out that USACI will also be at that event.
