Hello everyone!

I seem to hit a dead end. I was having stalling and severe hesitation problems, especially at idle. I found that My IAC was bad and replaced that along with a new PCV valve, wires, plugs and air filter. The stalling and "severe" hesitation has ceased, but I am gettng a slight "sputter" when in gear and idling, like at a red like. This is not very frequent, but still concearns me.

The sputter seems like an air pocket in the gas flow, almost like it is starved for gas for a quick second. I have replaced the fuel filter as well and tried injector cleaner and it did not help. I was wondering if my injetors need to be cleaned?

Any ideas?

Try cleaning the MAS.

OK.....I have vleaned the MAF and changed the IAC.

Here is the problem that is left. The engines runs fine at start up. When I am at a light in gear, the truck will sometimes give a quick sputter (hesitation).

Also, when I was under the hood, I manually pulled the throttle, and when it is a high RPM's, the engine will sputter, like a small backfire. I have new wires, plugs, IAC PCV valve and used plenty of injector cleaners.

Any ideas?

Have you tried reseting the compter?

The computerhas a built in rev limiter that will prevet the engine from over reving while in park. When you free rev the engine with the vehicle in park the computer will kill the spark. When this happens the engine will sound like a small backfire.

I have. Today, I took off the air cleaner tube and sifddled around and now the check engine light is on. I am going to try to reset the computer again. It seems like a fuel or spark problem though. It is getting very fustrating!
