Is there any way to do it?
The reason being is for SAS. The sport trac already has a rear solid axle and the rear is different than our 3rd gen ex because our axles go through a frame hole. I'm just wondering if anyone has thought about this or if it could even work. I know there would be a lot involved and probably more involved than doing a SAS.

The 01 - 05 Sport Track rides on the old GenII Explorer frame (Ranger frame) and is nothing close to out frame. The 06+ Sport track is on a stretched 4th gen frame which is much closer to ours. The problem with that is they too had IRS.

Either way, the frame is longer than your Explorer for both applications and it will not work.

Working on my 03 sport trac, it took a hit to the right rear. I see the frame is rolled up on the bottom right above the tailpipe. Does anyone know is it suppose to be there for tailpipe clearance. I am thinking not.

Yes the frame necks down for about 6" where the exhaust exits. I had an 01 sport trac and it got hit in the right rear. The bumper was barely damaged but the frame bent right where yours did. It was a very easy pull on a frame machine and didn't cost much as all.
