I got a first gen and it sputters when i go 4wheeln in the mud. I have an exhaust that ends right after my burned out cats. i was going through some deep mud and my truck stalled. i have a clutch so i thought i just stalled it. But when i got out of the trail my car sputters and as a hard time to get moving. Now it has a idling problem. I replaced the idle air control, fuel pressure regulator, added fuel injector cleaner, sprayed starting fluid into the throttle body, and check the spark plugs. I did not hydrolock it but i want to know what the problem is so i can go 4 wheelin again. Just to be clear it only has problems after i go 4wheelin whether or not im in 4x4.
