my wheels sqeal and sqeak very loud sometimes, it is very embarrassing. it only happens when it is really cold outside or i just went around a turn really fast ;) a few people told me it could be my bearings, my dad swears the brake pads have grit on them, but when i hit the brakes the sound doesnt change. anyone have this problem, or know how to go about fixing it?

I also have the same problem on my 96 4x4 and it only happens when its first driven for about 10 miles then it quits. I tried hitting brakes while on the gas to see if it was it but sound didnt go away! I have no clue cv joints in front ,bearings insufficient grease???????

It's the front dust excluder seals on the axle shafts. Mine had to be replaced three times before they got it fixed... I haven't driven it much since we got the cold snap, though, so I'm not too sure how well it worked this time. There is a TSB out about this problem.

whats TSB?

aaron, if you get yours replaced, let me know if it works!

gijoecam, do you have a link to which TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) addresses this? I have the same problem; it only happens in cold weather though.

Thanks Joe! That's been driving me batty during this cold snap!

hello everyone I was wondering if anyone elses sqeaks chirps during the summer when real warm around 90 out like mine does also? I think this could be the same cause. Monochromous I will let you know but I probably wont get around to it till it warms up here in PA!
