squeaky, rattle- rear hatch

Put new shocks, etc., on my stock 94 four door. Now, the hatch kind of wriggles and makes this rattle noise. I got out, and popped the rear window, and if you push on the frame of the hatch when closed, it moves (slightly, like a mm or so). The noise is driving me crazy. Anyone know what I might adjust first? Strikers? Latches?

Same here, My hatch doesn't close flush with the taillights. I'm getting a big rattle. Like it's not closing all the way.

I had that!

For me it turned out that the problem was the rear wiper arm not locating back in the hook after use, I bent the locating thing at the base of the arm and after some trial and error got it right, be aware that you have to check as you bend that the wiper stays in contact with the glass in use- Good luck chaps!

my rear door used to do that, sparyed the hell out of the locking mechanism and it never did it again, that was over 6 months ago
