Squeaky Seat

Hi,

2006 Explorer EB, V8... Have a squeaky passenger side front seat, sounds like a mouse is trapped under there (checked - no mouse)

Anyone have this issue, or remedy?

Hey, is it manual or electric? Is it squeaky when operated or all the time (over bumps?)

They are Electric Seats.

It only squeaks when driving and hitting minor bumps in the road...

My drivers seat started doin this on the trails. I haven't had time to find the fix but maybe check the bolts holding it to the floor and make sure they're all tight.

i have the same problem- i have 2 06 eddie bauers with electric passenger seats and they both squeak. cant figure it out. only thing on both that was done is the heated seat elements were replaced.

the problem can go away for a while and all of a sudden come back. real annoying.

same i have an 06 eb, passenger seat manual but squeaks when someone sits on it, it sounds like the bolts are loose, when I checked it they were tight. I still cant figure out where the problem is coming from.

Has happen to my 2006 explorer while under warranty. The problem is inside the seat itself. There is a bracket that becomes loose. The dealer had to take the seat apart ( remove the seat covering ) to access the bracket.

If leather seats, try pushing a rag between the seat bottom and the backrest to test my find. I had this problem in the right center row seat and could not find it (2017 LTD). Sounded more like a rattle than a squeak. It even began to sound like it was in the headliner/moonroof area. It took me almost a year to find it and I put some white lithium grease on the two metal U shaped “clamps” at the back of the seat cushion. Rattle/squeak gone!

I have the same thing in my 2006 Eddie Bauer Explorer, leather manual passenger, squeaks only with a passenger in the seat. It is in the seat back it would seem. If is a clamp inside the cushion, how does one get at it?

2010 EB, Electric seats with bun warmer. Same problem but it's in the driver's seat. Sounds like a mouse (also checked. No mouse). It happens when I shift my position in the seat. I haven't found the cause.
