I have a 2003 Explorer...Just replaced all wheel bearings, upper and lower balljoints in front end, sway links in front end, new tires and had a front end alignment done. It still sways...in fact, when I push on the gas, it pulls to the right and when I let off the gas it pulls to the left. Two garages/alignment places and countless mechanics later I still have the problem. Can anyone help?

Thank you.

You didn't mention replacing any bushings. There is a good possibility that your control arm bushings are shot. I would also check the rear suspension bushings as well.

If you have limited slip and the 2 back tires are different sizes it would cause this. The difference can also be caused by low air pressure in one tire.

Might be the right axle locked and not allowed to slip.

Almost sounds like you are running exclusively in front-wheel drive. Not sure how that could happen though. You don't say whether you are AWD or not.

Turn a really tight circle and see if there is any bucking/binding - if so, then you are in four-wheel drive. If you hear the rear wheels chirping then you might have an issue with the trac-loc limited slip in the rear differential.

Jack up one rear wheel and see if it will turn by itself at all. At max I think it should break loose at 100 ft/lbs - something you can do with a tire iron. If it doesn't, then the trac-loc limited slip might be bound up.

Just some thoughts.
