Stall in reverse

After starting up the truck from cold start and letting it run for about 2-3 min, sometimes when shifting to reverse the truck stalls out. Maybe I just need a tune up IDK.

On rare occasion, when I put it in reverse mine almost stalls then revs up and lurches... fun times... posting here to learn of other fates and any thoughts...

Cleaning the IAC (idle air controller) fixed that same problem in my 2003 4.0L Explorer.

2002 transmissions are a known problem. I'm not sure, but I believe they start jumping when you go into reverse. It gets worse from there.

I haven't had one, I had a 2003. I'm sure a quick search for transmission will get you a more accurate description of the problems.
