When I turn on the defrost my RPMs start jumping from 500 to 1500 and then the truck will stall. When I am driving the car it is fine but when I stop at a light or stop sign is when it will stall. Any help, info and input will be appreciated thank you ...

Any CEL? Do you have a OBDII scanner and Forscan that you could check for codes? I would check and clean the MAF sensor, IAC, EGR, etc. That's kind of the low hanging fruit. Without a view into the computer it's hard to tell.

There is no check engine light. I did still check for codes though and there was not any. I did clean the MAF sensor and checked around the engine for any loose wires connections. I also checked the fuse box. As far as the EGR and the IAC. I haven't checked those. I don't think that would be the problem considering this only happens when I have on the defrost. The car idols fine under normal conditions and also idles fine with the heat on. As I said this only occurs when the defrost is on

The A/C comes on with defrost. I would try unplugging the A/C unit, there is a little pigtail connection. Try running the defrost at that point and see if there is a drop in RPM. Your A/C system might be low which creates a bit more drag.

Where is this pigtail located so I can disconnect the AC ?

I will clean Iac this weekend...

just remove the ac clutch relay, it's easier than going down there and potentially breaking that plastic connector (it's not that easy) if it's low, the clutch won't engage at all.

Thanks, I removed the relay and the defroster was fine. I recharged the AC the other day. But I still have the same problem. I will clean the IAC and EGR next hopefully that will solve the problem .
