what would make my explorer stall when i put it in drive

Stalls when put into drive.

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the stock 91-94 section. It's possible that it wasn't warm enough. Did you ever replace the fuel filter? Sometimes a sticking TCC solenoid could cause this problem.

Welcome to the forum! Does the truck lurch forward or do anything before stalling? Does the truck die when you put it into drive or when you take your foot off the brake and in drive? Does the car stall in reverse?
