Engine at times would not start and the relay would breakdown so I bought a real good relay and that cured the problem for about a month. Now for the last 2 weeks the engine at will will not start when cold but roll over, and a half hour later it might have to roll over a few times but eventually start. The day before yesterday It would start nor today untill ---- I started to test the coil pack. I ck'd the red wire & it was hot with the key on and Eng. light was on with key on and also in start position. I tested # 5 & #1 on the coil and no spark, I moved to # 3 & got spark & it started. Went to Orilleys an the put a code reader on it and recieved no faults except a lean eng. yet nothing about the tranny silonoids not switching ( another problem being dealt with this week. I went home and Even though eng. sounded ok I re-checked The # 5 & #1 holes on the coil and they were just fine. Now I read If the coil pack is not missfireing ,running fine that all electrinic componts are ok. Is their something in all of this that is telling me the coil pack is breaking down ? I have seen a coil pack when it was breaking down when warm it would shut the eng. right down just the same way the coils would break down on the old cars.
