ok so i had a problem, when i changed my trannys over, i put a M5OD in it, stock was an a4ld, and after putting the tranny in it, i started it and it had a grinding sound, could not figure it out for nuthing.....and then after a day of driving, and starting, the starter started slipping and grinding, so i removed it and found the starter gear was beat up beyond belief! so i put a new one in, and had to space it! y was this???? the starter that came rom the other truck was not spaced! and never grinded!
is there a reason??? diferant size in bell housing??? or block???? im confuzed!
and my dad did the same to his F-150 after his tranny and engine rebuild, and he put all the same junk on it....im puzzled!
should this be in the stock 91-94??? if so please move it. thanks a million!!!
