Hoping someone out here can help with a problem. My wife's 92 had a starter that quit working recently...it was the original! Put a new starter along with a new fender mount solenoid. Went to start the engine and still nothing. I can definitely hear the solenoid working but there appears to be no power going to the starter. Is there a fuse or relay that I'm not aware of that would cut battery power to the starter itself? Any expertise is much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I just went through the same thing with mine. Replaced the starter and solenoid and just click...click when I turned the key. This was a rookie mistake (throwing parts at the problem) because I had no diagnostic tools. You will definitely need to get ahold of a multimeter to get to the root of the problem. YouTube will be your friend if you are not familiar with the diagnostic procedures of a multimeter .

Long story short after using the multimeter to test current, it turned out to be a bad positive cable.

Your battery cables can be severely corroded on the inside and look completely fine on the outside. I had a positive cable that looked almost brand new on the outside and had corroded almost 3 feet inside the pretty red sheathing. But like jjon90 said don't just start throwing parts at it do what diagnostic work you can do or take it to a reputable shop you trust to help locate the problem and tell you what to do to fix it. Good luck!
