Last night I had to drive one of my kids friends home.
I went to start the truck but it didnt want to. It was cranking as if I was getting no gas. I stepped on the peddle couple times but not helping. I tried starting a few times before it finally did but the idle was rough and stepping on peddle caused a stall. So got it to start again and just allowed the rough idle to 'cure itself' after about 10-15 seconds.

Truck drove fine. No other issues and no warning lights.
A few minutes ago I went out to start the truck and no issue. Started like a champ.
I do need a new battery. Metered at its lowest I get 12.4 but alternator gets it to almost 14. I do notice that cranking is an issue. It sometimes acts like my battery is almost dead while trying to start. I think the battery's cranking amps are not up to par. Battery has a March 09 date.

Not sure if the battery is playing a part in the issue last night but thought to mention it.
