Im sure this have been covered before here, but i scrolled through the first few pages and did a search and didnt come up with anything. When i searched for starting problems i came up with a few that were similar but nothing close enough to feel like that was it. Oh, and its a 2001 4WD

Heres the problem.

It will randomly not start. It will start just fine and ill go some where, if i stop for gas or something short and come right back out. Wont start. But, if i leave it alone for a couple hours and come back it will start everytime. Now this has happened in 6-45 degree weather and the distance driven between stops and attempted start doesnt seem to make a difference.

I took it to a mechanic and he told me i had the wrong spark plugs and a shot water pump. He told me that the leaking anti-freeze from the water pump could be throwing off my crank position sensor. Well i replaced the water pump and it is still acting up. I havnt got to change the spark plugs but it just doesnt seem like crappy plugs would cause this problem all the sudden.

I know thats a little long winded but what would you guys suggest i do next? Iv really got to get it going because i have stuff to do am working about 1hr away from home all week. Thanks ahead of time.

get the injectors tested, they may be slowly flooding the motor.
