starting problem

replaced starter, replaced selinoid relay, and still only get a heavy click out of the selinoid and starter doesn't engage. i know the new selinoid is the right one, wondering what i am missing. help please.

What's the status of your battery cables? If they are old, they might be corroded. Often they will corrode from the inside out, so it isn't visible. You can check them with a volt/ohm meter. Also check to make sure all the connections are good, clean, and tight, including ground connections.
