Hey everyone-
I think I already know the answer to my question but I'm looking for some feedback. My '94 just clicks when I try to start it. I replaced the starter relay, battery and cables last year and all seemed fine last last year. I suspect the starter is bad? Could the cables corrode that quickly? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance to all

Not to backtrack on you, but are your terminals clean and tight?

I havent checked the connections at the starter, but all connections at the relay and the battery terminals are clean and secure. I forgot to mention in my original post that I did try to jump the explorer with my wifes van, but all I would get is the click when trying to start.

Check small red control wire going to the starter, if that's slipped off, all you get is a clicking sound no matter how good your battery and cables are.

I too thought my starter was bad, but after it tested out okay when i pulled it off, i cleaned the terminals with a wire brush and tightened all the connections. Works like a champ now!
