Static in Driver side rear speaker

Hi!

I am just wondering what could cause a static sound; and occasionally cutting out, in the driver side rear speaker?

I did check the connections at the speaker already and they are fine.

You did the obvious.

Is the speaker a stock one? How old?

Might simply be worn out. Great time to change all 4 for some aftermarket units.
