2017 Explorer XLT
I'm new here to the forum and I've done a little reading about Steeda's Lowering Springs. The Pro's and Con's if you will. I have a 2017 Explorer XLT FWD. I ordered a set of Springs and it asked if it was AWD or FWD. Of course it's FWD and it suggested Rear Spacers. My impression is that the spacers lift the springs, so it seems a little counter productive to lowering the rear. Do they need to be installed? Spending an extra hundred bucks on something that isn't neccesarily needed, well, is wasteful. Trying to level the stance a bit, putting spacers isn't going to help that. My apologies if this has been answered before, I couldn't find anything in regards to the subject, and don't want to be redundant.

Thanks for the Welcome!

I've been scouring the forums for reviews on the different kits, and there has been no mention of spacers in any of them. But Steeda reccomended them. I'm sure someone will know something about it or be able to offer some advice.

I'm fairly certain someone has covered this somewhere, but I couldn't find anything in regards to spacers and lowering kits. Again, don't want to get anyone all riled up, you know how some folks get. I ride Bikes as well, and if you ask a question on some forums, there's always the guy who gets all offended because some dude asked a question that's been asked before. Lol.

Where are trying to order the springs from? I looked at the Steeda website and don't see any spacers even listed unless i missed them.
Instruction sheet.

Contacted Steeda and was told it was glitch in their site. There is zero need for spacers to install the springs. I was confused because no one mentioned spacers while installing the springs. The site said you needed spacers if you had FWD, so I went with their reccomendation, and they charged me 109 bucks for spacers. They're refunding me the cash and they caught the shipment before it left the warehouse. The spacers were for a Mustang, go figure. Stand up company if you ask me.

They may have already removed it. It was a glitch on the site and the spacers were for a Mustang. They refunded me the dough, but I was confused by it. I contacted them directly and they got back to me pretty quick. Thanks for the response though. I looked at the Installation instructions and there was no mention of spacers, that's why I asked. Lol.
