i'm in the middle of doing my BL and i'm having a problem with my steering extension. how do you actually get it on.when i hold the extension up to the steering the bolts are a hair off it seems like the extension will be to long. also how do i get it into place? do i have to loosen everything back up and jack the body up to get in place?

The lower part of the steering shaft will slide down so you can get the extension between the two shafts. You'll need to dremel the channel out in the steering extensions so it will slide all the way onto the shaft.

hey Section525 i dremeled out the inside of the extension and that fits over the upper steering shaft alright, but the lower steering shaft doesn't move up or down just side to side (pivots). am i missing something here?

well i got the steering shaft to go down by tapping it with a hammer, but now i can't get it back up so i can bolt everything back together :fire:

nobody has had this problem before?

anybody have any suggestions on getting it back up to so i can connect it to the upper steering shaft

well i finally fixed it, nothing a lil hammer and crowbar can't take care of. the 3 inch bl is complete......well except for the bumpers  i plan on putting the front one back on but i'm going to fab a roll pan for the back so maybe it won't be to bad.
