So today im driving my explorer around and no problems... a few hours later when i make a right hand turn at any speeds under 10mph it jerks the steering wheel, when i turn to the left its still normal. What the 3rd gens would cause one side to do this and not the other??

tie rod perhaps? Did you hit something maybe bump a curb?

i live in northern michigan so pot holes gallory!!! but i was fine when i pulled in to the drive way tho... i tie rod shouldnt cause it shake one way and not the other

Another guess would be snow or ice in the RIM perhaps? Hope its all fixed now

no ice or snow. i already pulled it into the garage and checked it out really quick and dint see anything. Im gonna have to jack it up tomorrow and see if something is lose or some **** like that

my steering wheel shakes when i go like 65 mph or more on my explorer i dunno why

sam you might need to balance your wheels

A hydraulic steering system that has air in it will kick back a little bit -- make sure the reservoir is full.

small advice.
When you lift the truck up spin the wheel, it might show up something that u can not see being still....like a bump in it... try both sides... good luck

4x4 or AWD? How's the differential fluid? What condition are the tires in? Any braking issues, such as with ABS kicking in?

my transfer case is not working cuz the clutch BS is burnt out, i havent checked the fluid up front... tires are a few months old Yokohama geolanders..... and it brakes just fine.... i dont know if its a tie rod issue or wut its hard to really test it while driving since every road and driveway has about a foot of snow on it!!! so braking still seems normal

wow... well, the only bit of advice I can give is to check the differential fluid.
