Howdy folks...newbie here. I need some help figuring out why my steering sounds like a creaky, old door. It has plenty of power steering fluid. Only makes a creaking sound when turning wheel @ a dead standstill or when rolling 5mph or slower and turning....ie: parking, pulling in garage, etc. No groan like power steering pump woes. What do you guys think?

If it is not power steering pump I would imagined it is around your steering wheel. I would think electrical contacts to horn button or airbag system are dirty (filled with dust). You may want to try cleaning it off with electrical contact cleaner.

<somebody remove pizza pizza from my sentences please!!!>

I would say its probably ball joints or tie rod ends going bad or needing greased

Thanks for the suggestions...my truck guru thinks it needs a good old-fashioned lube...since there aren't any lube accesses in the newer vehicles....he said he could remove the boots etc. and shoot grease to replace the stuff that was packed @ the factory since it should be long dried-up. Hopefully a job that will cost less than $25 in labor :-) keep finger's crossed that is all that's wrong. Squeeky old suspension.
