Steering Wheel background lights

I noticed when driving at night the background lights from the steering wheel (per example the cruise control, radio volume, etc) are not illuminated.

I have seeing in some video footage from other explorers in youtube with the lights on. Is there any way to switch they on off or should I bring the car to the Ford dealer to fix?

Or - worst case - Ford has taking them out to save money in a vehicle close to USD 60 K ?.

Looks like a small thing but can be related to safety, specially when driving in evening and trying to chase volume, cruise control etc specially when we are still learning the vehicle controls,.

Please note that if the brightness control is turned to it's lowest level the steering wheel controls will not be lite but the dash will still be lite just not bright. Increasing the brightness will turn on the background lights on the steering wheel and increase with brightness.

Thanks for the advise. I tried and unfortunately the lights are still off.

Thank you for the picture - I feel relieved they didn't do the cheap savings on this one, I came from a 2017 Platinum to a 2020 and I am really enjoying the new Explorer, it is a completely new vehicle.

Dealer visit already scheduled for tomorrow, to revisit the steering wheel as well as the driver seat acting funny when turning off / on the car.
