The on/off, cruise, resume, ect lights are out, well the left side is. The right side just poped on I just got the Explorer close to a year ago and the lights were never on so I didnt think anything about it, until the right side came on. My question is, how do I "check" to see if the left side lights are burnt out? Also after finding this out are the headlight switch and options supposed to light up as well as mine does not.

Thanks for any and all help!

Most of that stuff should light up. Check your fuses and follow the wires down from the steering wheel and make sure they are all securely plugged in.

the bulb is prolly just burnt out. your best bet to get a bulb is to go to a junk yard and pull a few of them. all the ford dealers around me told me i had to buy the switches to get the bulbs cause the dont have a listing for just the bulb.

A bulb for a Ford Contour clock will work for the cruise control lights. As for the others, Radio Shack has one that is close enough to work. The Radio Shack bulb is 272-1092. I used this bulb in the rear defroster, rear wiper, and head lamp switches. When you remove the factory bulbs from the switches, you will have to take the colored covers off of the bulbs and slide them on the Radio Shack bulbs. The covers will be slights larger than the bulbs, but they will work. It is very nice having all of my switches lit up again:thumbsup:
