Steering wheel play

I have a 1994 Ford Ranger xlt that has developed play in the steering wheel. What is involved to repair it? The truck is in very good condition and I am planning on keeping it for a while so I would like to fix the problem. Wondering what the cost and labor would be?

If your not familiar with the search feature, just browse the 1st, or 2nd gen section for the threads on this. I have had to replace my steering shaft from too much play. I used the thread already here to find all the info I need to do it myself. Went the junkyard, found the shaft, removed it, & installed it myself in an hour. Think I paid $10 total.
