Replaced my sway bar end links the other day and eagerly took the explorer for a ride around to test them out. Neglected to see I was out of gas so the engine died on the way back home- had to ride it downhill for a quarter mile or so with no power steering to get to a safe spot to pull over and refill.

Now that I have gas in the tank shes perfectly fine but the power steering feels ever so slightly stiffer, this is persisted for several dozen miles now. Any Ideas?

You need too purge the air out of the system

Air compresses. You’ll end up with stiffer steering and vibration. Take it on some dirt or similar and/or drive around slow, working the steering from lock to lock a whole lot
