Over the years I have primarily owned Chevy's , Until I started taking over my dad's cars. Ford's. I have been amazed by the quality and and longevity. My first was a 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer, V6. I drove it to 165k miles. When sold the interior was pristine, paint, a little hazing of the clear coat at the juncture of roof and windshield. Everything but the radio worked which it did but had the intermittent issue with the IC solder joint.
Sold the vehicle to a neighbor and 4 months later they totaled it.
I now own a 2005 Explorer V8, XLT 235k miles and is amazing. Change oil every 5k with mobil 1, runs like a champ. My other vehicle is a 2002 Ranger V6 with 215K paint in excellent shape needs new upholstery.
