Anyone know the stock alternator amp size for a 1990 ranger extended cab? trying to add soem electronics and don't want to overload the ranger.

Thanks.

Looking at Autozone website, it tells me it's an 80amp alternator. Can anyone verify this?

You should be able to use this to run some stuff, maybe fog lights and a few other things. If you're worried, get a bigger alternator. I bought a bigger one off of eBay, and it's great. Bought a 130 amp for 80 dollars, and it ended up being a Motorcraft alternator.

Thanks

Thanks a lot man. I wanna toss on some front fogs and maybe 1 sub, that's about it. Right now is has a cigerette lighter plug box I pulled off a cop car too, but that isn't used much, just for GPS charger and phone chargers.

Who did you get that alternator from on Ebay? I'd like to check it out, I'd prefer to just buy the 130 amp to avoid future problems lol if it's not too expensive.
