This is happening to me and my sister, she has a nissan pathfinder. We both have stock cd players. When inserting a cd, it goes in, and the noise that it makes when it goes in keep going and going. The cd never starts to play. Then, eventually it will eject it. Whats goin on here? its happening to both cars. thanks.

Are you putting CDRs (burned cds, cds you make yourself) in? Or are they regular CD's that you buy in a music store? Sometimes some CD players can not read the burned CDs for some reason.

yeah, well see i have played burned cds in both, but today i tried in my explorer, and i tryed with 2 different normal cds.

my mom has same prob. w/ new intrepid. wut i did i get around it was make sure the cd's were clean and the laser in the cd player is clean. you can buy kits 2 do these 2 operations @ any electronics store. if that doesn't help, then just don't screw around w/ stock audio and upgrade to aftermarket gear and save yourself the time and trouble in the long run.

stock cd probloms

Hay i had the same problom the cd player in my 94 explorer. I took it to the dealer and they told my the proseser was out and it would cost me more than it would to order a new one wich was about 500$. I just put in a after market cd player and have had no problom. Good luck with it!
